Cameos for Valentines

As part of Binghamton's First Friday Art Walk -- and in celebration of Valentine's Day 2007 -- the Connelly Gallery at 205 State St, Binghamton, NY 13901-2711 will hold an exhibit and sale of 19th and early 20th century cameos The Perfect Gift for Your Valentine on Friday, February 2, 2007 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Enjoy special entertainment and treats with a Valentine's Day themeas you shop for your sweetheart. The exhibit consists of vintage shell cameos, most of which were carved near Naples, Italy. Many illustrate mythological themes, usually portraying a woman in profile. The cameos -- fashioned into brooches, rings, pendants, earrings, and hatpins -- are set in gold, silver, bakelite, plastic and other man-made materials. Equipment Auction: 28 January 2007

Bob & Sallie Connelly will conduct an Equipment Auction at the Showplace in Binghamton on Sunday, January 28, 2007 at 10:00 a.m., with a preview at 9:00 a.m. Selling without reserve is equipment, including a 22hp Troy-Bilt Tractor with 42-inch 2-stage snow blower and 46-inch cut mowing deck (photo), a dump cart, a spike aerator, a broadcast spreader, a 5hp Craftsman pressure washer, a weed wacker, a large assortment of yard tools, heavy duty storage shelving, and metal cabinets; sporting equipment, including a Model 37 Ithaca 12-gauge shotgun, gun cabinets, gun racks, a hunting bow, fishing equipment, and golf clubs; tools, including a table saw, power and hand tools; and electronic equipment, including a Sony 8mm camcorder, Bose speakers, Magnavox VCR, Home Theater, and 5-CD changer. On-Site Estate Auction with Real Estate

Bob & Sallie Connelly will conduct an On-Site Estate Auction of the contents of 874 Wyncoop Creek Rd, Chemung, NY 14825 on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. with a preview at 5:00 p.m.  Mrs. Bangs has moved, and we will be selling everything in the house as well as the real estate at 7:00 p.m.

Selling without reserve are furniture, including a circa 1840 Empire chest of drawers, a circa 1850 Empire drop leaf table, and a large circa 1935 Duncan Phyfe table with four leaves (all mahogany); an early pine server and a pine hutch table; cane bottom and captain's chairs, a large wooden entertainment center, children's items including toys, and five pedestals. Also, miscellaneous items and accessories, including coffee makers, a food processor, an assortment of modern cookware and cookbooks, decorator items from flower arrangements to statuary, and small appliances, such as a deep fryer and ice cream maker. Bob & Sallie Connelly will conduct an Estate Auction at the Showplace in Binghamton on Sunday, January 14, 2007 at 10:00 a.m., with a preview at 9:00 a.m. Selling without reserve are furniture, including a Colonial Clock Co. grandfather clock, French provincial bedroom suite and dining room set, a sofa and matching love seat, and an illuminated china closet; and miscellaneous accessories and glassware, including a German cuckoo clock, a 9 X 12 oriental rug, military items such as a circa 1940 Army jacket and Army-issue Elgin watch, a sewing machine, and a 30" color TV. Selling at 11:00 a.m. is jewelry, including square cut diamond earrings (ca. 90 pts total weight), over a dozen gold rings including 3 solitaire diamond rings, and emerald rings, earrings, necklace and bracelet. Art Walk Exhibit: "Beyond Me" by Michelle Land

As part of Binghamton's First Friday Art Walk -- and in joyous celebration of 40 years in business -- the Connelly Gallery at 205 State St, Binghamton, NY 13901-2711 will hold an exhibit and sale of pencil, ink and mixed media art by up and coming local artist, Michelle Land on Friday, January 5, 2007 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Ms. Land, who plans to study for an advanced degree in Fine Arts, is included in Who's Who Among American High School Students for 2005-2007. Her art, which is informed by her interest in poetry and religious experience, uses rich gray tones to enhance her themes. The exhibit and sale of Ms. Land's artwork will continue through January 26, weekdays from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and at other times by appointment (Telephone: 607-722-9593).
