Auction of Military Items, Swords, Guns and Regina Music Players
Bob & Sallie Connelly will conduct a Military, Swords, Guns and Regina Music Players Auction at the Showplace in Binghamton on Sunday November 24, 2013 at 11:00 am with a preview at 9:00 am. Included in this auction is a large collection of items which descended in the family of Henry B. Morse, a Lieutenant Colonel in the 114th Regiment of New York State Volunteers during the Civil War*. All of the items in this auction are selling without reserve AS IS (No Refunds, No Returns) at a 10% buyers premium.

Large Lot consisting of Henry Morse's frock coat as a Lt. Colonel, shoulder straps as a Major and 1851 officer’s belt plate. Also included are letters from New York State to enroll volunteers for the Civil War; Morse's Commission as a Major; his Commission as a Lt. Colonel; his Commission as a Brevet Brigadier General signed by President Johnson and Secretary of War Stanton.
Morse Artifacts To Be Sold Separately: presentation sword, dated August 1, 1862 to Major H.B. Morse from his friends in Eaton, NY; Harper's Ferry Model 1805 pistol, dated 1807, in excellent condition; small size Deringer / Philadela (only 1”R”); Colt Model 1860 Army Serial #76209.
Morse Ephemera: Letter about battle of Winchester, VA; Group of 68 Letters from Alfred A. Morse, Henry Morse's brother. He was wounded in Virginia, had his leg amputated and eventually died from his wound; Group includes Memoriam Booklet, carte-de-visite of Alfred. Group of more than 34 letters from Henry Morse to his mother and other family members, including correspondence about being a judge in Arkansas.

Absentee and phone bids for this auction can be submitted using the convenient bidform. Bidders must be pre-registered. First-time NYS tax exempt buyers must complete and submit NYS Resale Certificate ST-120.
Buyers of firearms not exempt from Federal Firearms License (FFL) requirements will be charged a $10 fee for a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) search if they don't hold a current FFL. Pre-1892 firearms and those determined to be parts or relics do not require an ATF search. An FFL gun dealer will be on-site during the auction to process the paperwork. *Thanks to
