Bob & Sallie Connelly will conduct an Antique & Collectibles Auction at the Showplace in Binghamton on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 10:00 a.m., with a preview at 9:00 a.m. Selling without reserve is furniture, including 4 shaker chairs with tilters, a mahogany Hepplewhite butler's desk, a Federal walnut swing-leg drop leaf table, 3 rope beds, a pair of rod back Windsor chairs with H stretchers, and 2 grand pianos by George Steck & Chickering, china and porcelain, including 8 Nippon vases, 7 large tankards, a cast iron figural jardiniere, a collection of over 125 pieces of pattern glass with cordials, wine, and a set of Noritake China made in Occupied Japan; Antique & Collectibles Auction, Saturday, May 5, 2007 clocks and watches, including an unusual large Abner Jones (?) with 8-day Terry-type movement and alarm, a Waterbury No. 25 weight driven double dial clock; and a Seth Thomas Tower Clock No. 2334, removed from the Johnson City, NY fire station in 1953 (assembly required); bronzes, including Porter of Tunis by Jean Didier Début, French, 1824-1893, 24.5 inches high on a marble base, 12 others, and 2 Chinese bronzes; paintings, over 20 including oils by Benjamin Champney, C. Harry Allis, Carleton Wiggins and Armondo Dellasanta, a seascape by Rockwell Brank, a watercolor by Granville Perkins, and a poster by Keith Haring; sterling silver, including a 5-piece Watson John Alden tea set, round chased silver box, and miscellaneous flatware; oriental rugs, including Sarouk and Kerman; Oil on canvas by Carleton Wiggins, 1847-1928miscellaneous and accessories, including an 1838 boxed surveying instrument by Meneey & Oothout, West Troy, NY, a coverlet signed Wealthy Hatch, 1831, a 19th century kaleidoscope, a Stuart Mill working model steam boiler with electric generator, 2 cast iron door stops -- a pointer dog and an Art Deco nude, and a hooked rug with distelfink bird; and music boxes, including a Swiss music box mounted on matching inlaid table and supplied with 5 6-tune rolls, an 11-disk Symphonion music box, and a Swiss music box with a 4-tune roll. May First Friday: Vintage Art

As part of Binghamton's First Friday Art Walk the Connelly Gallery at 205 State St, Binghamton, NY 13901-2711 Vintage Art at the Connelly Gallery will hold an exhibit and sale of Vintage Art, featuring 19th and early 20th century oil paintings, watercolors and prints by a variety of artists. The exhibit opens on Friday, May 4, 2007 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Vintage Art exhibit and sale will continue through May 25, weekdays from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and at other times by appointment (Telephone: 607-722-9593).
