Antique and Collectibles Auction

Bob & Sallie Connelly will conduct an Antique & Collectibles Auction at the Showplace in Binghamton on Sunday, December 9, 2007 at 10:00 am with a preview at 9:00 am.

Selling AS IS without reserve, with a 10% Buyer's Premium, are banks, including an organ grinder and performing bear mechanical bank with original paint in outstanding condition and a U.S. Mail bank with combination lock; Antique & Collectibles Auction at the Showplace in Binghamton on Sunday, December 9, 2007toys, including a 13" coupe by Dayton Friction Toy Co., 40 pieces of Elastolin composition WWI British band toy soldiers, circa 1935, also 8 Indians, several Tootsie Toy and Wyandotte cars and trucks, a Wolverine diving submarine with box, and a Midgette Movie Theater with 8 movies and box; trains, including Lionel (2321 Lackawanna, 1862 General, 2065 and 2025 steam engines) and Marx windups; games, including Battleship 1938, Agate Railway Bagatelle marble game, Uncle Wiggily, Peter Coddle's Trip, 1936 Popeye Paint Set, many boxed; and Disney, including 42" motorized 1934 papier mâché display of Minne Mouse combing her hair, Mickey Mouse hobby horse, and 8" papier mâché Bashful.

Also watches, including five gold mechanical wristwatches from Patek Philippe, Omega Constellation, Longines, and Omega Seamaster, four with gold bands;leather German military spike helmet military, including an 1858 Walch Navy revolver, #117/200, a German leather spike helmet, a French Coulaux sword, and an 1877 French bayonet; stoneware, including five blue decorated pieces by Whites; scientific and optical instruments, including 19th century McAllister telescopes, U.S. Signal Service binoculars, and a transit by Keuffel & Esser, NY, Pat. 1891; and musical, including a table-mounted Swiss music box with six 6-tune cylinders, a 15.75" oak Regina music box with three disks, a Martin saxophone, a Westminster flute, and a Chickering grand piano.

The auction includes several military swords. 1. French sword, signed Coulaux; no scabbard. Image of guard in slideshow.  2. German sword with scabbard; possibly WWI.  3. German SA dagger in sheath, inscribed "Alles für Deutschland"; RZ in circle, M7/37.  4. French bayonet with scabbard, dated 1877, signed ST. ETIENNE.  5. U.S. bayonet; M8 A1.  6. Arab-middle eastern headsmen sword; replaced handle; gold inlay in very good condition. Two images in slideshow.  7. 19th century Arab dagger, sheath and original shoulder cord. And Indian artifacts, including over 3000 points, arrowheads, axes, pestles, pipes and three fragments of Peru textile, circa 1400; clocks,Primitive oil portrait including 8-day German ship clock, oak gingerbread, 8-day and 30-hour Ogees, Steeple and miscellaneous parts; furniture, including Empire mahogany secretary, Federal style mahogany secretary, Empire dressers, server, sofa, and set of five barrel fiddle-back chairs, dough box on legs, three Victorian arm chairs, Ogee mirror, and two mahogany slant top desks; miscellaneous, including a 17.5" American burl bowl, Majolica, a Roseville planter, pair of Currier & Ives First Smoke All Right/All Wrong prints, a primitive oil porrait, and assorted glass and china.

Selling at 12 noon are two automobiles: a 1965 Mercury Comet convertible, red, no rust, 98% restored, and a 1986 Ford LTD Crown Victoria LX, 74k miles, fully loaded, inspected and licensed.
