Super Sunday Antiques Auction

Bob & Sallie Connelly will conduct an Antiques Auction at the Showplace in Binghamton on Sunday, February 1, 2009 at 10:00 am with a preview at 9:00 am. The auction includes vintage Valentines, furniture, quilt and fabrics, cut glass, china and other household pieces. Many of the items are from the home of Mahlon Card, Esq., who at 92 has moved to a retirement center.

Selling without reserve AS IS (No Refunds, No Returns) at a 10% buyers premium are Super Sunday Antiques Auction: February 1, 2009Vintage Valentines and Ephemera, including foldout, popup, mechanical and lace Valentines, and postcards, newspapers and childrens books; Selling at 11:00 am Furniture, including a mahogany and walnut dresser with white marble top, tables, chests, a mahogany Empire Revival slant top desk, dining room and living room pieces, 2 bedroom sets, two Boston rockers, and two rope beds; Quilts and Fabric, including an 1841 blue and white coverlet, a pair of poppy pattern applique quilts, other quilts and linen; Cut Glass, including a pair of Daisy and Button decanters, ice buckets, carafes, tumblers, wine glasses, and signed Hawkes stemware; Other Glassware, including Murano glass, Depression glass, and Waterford, Heisey, Fostoria, Orrefors, Cambridge, and Carnival pieces; and China and Miscellaneous, including an Art Deco gun metal statue on marble base, 6 pieces of Majolica, 80 pieceds of signed American china painted by Edna Sawyer, other hand-painted china including dishes, clocks, talcum jars, Haviland, Bing & Grondahl, Belleek, Wedgewood, Nippon, Flow Blue and Ironstone pieces, and assortments of buttons and household items.
