Art Walk Exhibit: 40th Anniversary Celebration

The Connelly GalleryAs part of Binghamton's First Friday Art Walk -- and in joyous celebration of 40 years in business -- the Connelly Gallery at 205 State St, Binghamton, NY 13901-2711 will hold an exhibit and sale of 19th century paintings, Slideshow of 19th century paintings. featuring Carleton Wiggins, Benjamin Champney and C. Harry Allis on Friday, November 3, 2006 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Connellys will be celebrating 40 years in business with music by violinist Micah Banner-Baine, a Binghamton U.Michah Banner-Baine student who plays with many groups, including One Who Stayed, and with a gallery-wide sale featuring 10-30% off all items in stock. The owner was a 77 year-old Naval veteran who lived a simple life. Selling without reserve at 6:00 p.m., with a preview at 5:00 p.m. are furniture, including a Mission oak china closet, maple display case, dressers, etc., and miscellaneous and collectible items, including, an early Ovoid stoneware crock by N. Clark, Troy, NY (inset), a Seth Thomas grandfather's clock, Japanese Cloisonné vases, Naval cruise books for aircraft carriers, and a Whirlpool refrigerator.

On-site estate auction: Tuesday, October 24, 2006

Auctioneer and broker, Robert "Bob" Connelly, of Connelly Realty, will auction the Real Estate at 133 Grand Ave, Vestal Center (Town of Vestal, Broome County, NY) at 7:00 p.m. (preview Friday, October 20, 2006 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.). The opening bid for the one story circa 1950 ranch house (Tax Map 206.009-3-3.0) on a 60 X 151 lot with 12 X 30 in-ground pool is $30,000.

The six-room house on pier and slab foundation has cedar shake shingle siding, three bedrooms, a bath, and an attic scuttle. The attached garage was converted to a workshop with ceiling-hung furnace, side and rear doors, and a 10 X 10 covered concrete patio at rear. The roof appears very good, but the house shows deferred maintenance and needs TLC.

An Auction of Restaurant Equipment begins at 5:00 p.m. with a preview at 4:00 p.m. (note the early starting time). Selling without reserve is equipment -- most of which is exceptionally clean and in excellent condition -- including a new Model R-102 Ansul fire protection system with 5 stainless steel heads; utility, work and steam tables; Two Auctions on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 a self-contained sandwich unit; soft drink machines; chairs, including 180 restaurant side chairs and 54 wooden captain's chairs, and a large quantity of small items such as knives, serving utensils, etc.

The Antiques & Collectibles Auction takes place at the usual 6:00 p.m. start time, with a 4:00 p.m. preview. These were used in the Motorcycle Safety Foundation program offered in satisfaction of NYS license requirements. Featured in the auction are a yellow pearl 2001 Harley Davidson XL 1200S Sportster® (8448 miles, pictured), a 2004 smokey gold XL 1200R Roadster® (8310 mi.), and a yellow 2006 VRSCR Street Rod™ (461 mi., factory warranty thru 4/11/07), all with many extras.
